My work experiences have been diverse and eclectic.  From small, family-owned businesses all the way up to a corporation whose parent company was General Electric.  Each had new and different responsibilities, challenges and adventures waiting to shape me into the person I am today – someone you can count on to get the job done, no matter what it is.

    • 9/2007 – 5/2012: Marketing Director, Universal Lending Corporation, a Mortgage Banker, Denver, CO
      • Development of web 2.0 eMarketing platform with Email, Database, Web, PURL’s, Print Marketing & Internal Marketing.
      • Support & provide marketing to the Retail Loan Division, the Wholesale Loan Division, Reverse Mortgage Division, and Crestline Sales Division of Universal Lending Corporation.

As the Marketing Director for Universal Lending Corporation, I provided social media, web, email and print marketing to the Retail Loan Division, the Wholesale Loan Division, Reverse Mortgage Division, Crestline Sales and Universal Lending Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

My ongoing task was to bring Universal Lending Corporation into the web 2.0 era; this included updated web sites, email marketing, PURL’s/landing pages, blogging and social media like Twitter and Facebook.

Additionally, provided support and planning for events, tradeshows, CE classes and corporate gatherings. Developed, maintained and supported a real estate blog with over four thousand weekly visitors.

For the UL Foundation, I maintained/supported a blog, created fliers and brochures promoting programs and inviting donations, as well as signs, handouts and business cards. Limited PR work, photography and Facebook fanpage support.
    • 1/2006 – 5/2007: VP Agent Assist, The Agent Workshop, Littleton, CO
      • Setup, design, training & ongoing support for proprietary web marketing system featuring: branded web presence, email marketing, print marketing, integrated contact management and branded marketing solutions.
      • Additionally, supported the A/R department processing invoices and payments, performed software testing, wrote documentation for proprietary software systems, trained employees and clients on use of software products onsite and in the field, and managed a support staff of six employees and two ‘in the field’ photographers.
    • 4/2004 – 1/2006: Operations, Innov8Solutions, USA, LLC (version 2) Denver, CO
      • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Customer Service, Operations & Training (internal & external), creating Sales & Marketing Materials and providing company-wide IT Support.
      • Trained clients and employees on the use of proprietary web procurement system, and provided support via email, phone, fax, live internet chat or offsite as needed.
    • 1/2004 – 4/2004: Customer Service Representative, Spherion, Denver, CO
      • Contract position in a call center for Affinity Group Holding, Inc., DBA The Good Sam Club, Trailer Life, Coast to Coast & Camping World. Answered inbound calls, acting as customer service and sales for The Good Sam Club, Trailer Life, Coast to Coast and Camping World.

As a Customer Service rep I was responsible for handling all inbound calls placed to the different clubs owned by the parent company, changing between different sets of proprietary software, making reservations, taking orders, selling/renewing memberships, trips, magazine subscriptions and auto insurance.

      • Responsible for processing inbound orders, maintaining relationships with customers and vendors, training/supporting employees on systems and light IT support.

Responsible for processing HVAC, Electrical, Telecom and MRO quotes and orders via fax, phone and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), placing and tracking orders with vendors and maintaining overall customer satisfaction. Also trained co-workers on using software, on EDI standards, provided internal software / hardware IT support, installed office equipment as needed, and fostered good relationships with vendors and clients.
    • 2/2003 – 9/2003: Owner/Operator, Market Websites, Denver, CO
      • Owned & Operated a small, discount web hosting provider offering hosting, web design, e-commerce & marketing solutions & services.
    • 7/2001 – 1/2003: Director of Advertising, Gem Products, Inc., Chattanooga, TN
      • Responsible for custom production of in-house advertising materials for a major manufacturer of after market appliance and HVAC parts and accessories, including monthly direct mail and mass fax advertisements, seasonal advertisements, banners, signs, business cards, yearly catalogs and multimedia content for presentations, trade shows, email and web applications.
      • Produced original artwork and operated a digital photo studio for photographs of all company products.

Additionally, I produced an updated product catalog and initiated a centralized advertising database project, storing all product advertising information, including images, product descriptions, tables and charts within a centralized location for ease of access.
    • 10/1999 – 5/2001: Examiner/Auditor, Field Warehousing Corp., Knoxville, TN
      • Responsible for an eight state territory of HVAC Distributorships in the Bonded Warehouse program.  As an Examiner, I visited each warehouse once every sixty days for training, installation of the program and auditing of inventory levels.

This position required a lot of travel and expense planning. Customer service was a MUST because your own clients were not happy to see you when you walked in the door.
    • 6/1988 – 10/1999: Assistant Manager, A-PED, Inc, Fresno, CA
      • Responsible for advertising and marketing for twelve affiliated branches in California.  Advertising included monthly and seasonal direct mail marketing and mass fax advertisements, banners, signs, business cards and catalogs.
      • As Equipment Manager, produced weekly and monthly inventory reporting to Field Warehousing.

Additionally trained to be a super user / administrator monitoring and maintaining the computer systems when the original system admin moved on to another position. Responsible for 30th anniversary celebration / event, giveaways, party, etc.
