In the world of mortgages, there is a lot of branding. In this case, I was asked to create a new brand for a product that doesn’t get a lot of love from Realtors® under it’s normal name – the 203k. Many have bad feelings or have had bad experiences associated with that name, so the idea came about to brand the program with a new name, and I was asked to create a new logo that would focus attention on the positives of the program. I ended up using Illustrator and created a logo ‘badge’. The ‘C’ is for Community, and the ‘5’ and ‘R’ refers to Remodel, Rehab, Restore, Rebuild and Renovate – all of which needed to be worked, somehow, into the logo. You can click the image to see how I accomplished this.
